I woke up for kindergarten. Then I ate brekfist. I went to kindergarten. Mrs. Boyd played ‘’look at the monkeys sitin’ in a tree ‘’ came on. We went to the tables. We did stuff. Then we went to resses. The substitute number 2


Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I got to stay there!!!!! I played and then the 5 little monkeys song came on and everyone cleaned up their things and they went to their colored tables. I am on red. We did snack. Then we went out to recess, first we went to the bathroom and then we went back inside and we did Mr. Monkey. And then there was only one person left, and it was Megan, and Aldous got it today and it is actually tomorrow we are typing this today. And then we went to the door. THE END.

Daddy dropped me off at school. And I made my daddy peek in my class room & leve at the door. I saw a substitute. He put my water bottle away for me. Look at the monkeys’’ song came on. And we went to our colored spots. Then our teacher (uther wise none as the substitute) (HEE.HEE.HEE) made a Christmas chan, we went oside & played on the playground evreewune had a coat on, ikseped for me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the teacher asked ware my coat wase. My day with no fits

Today, I had no fits. Exept for pushing my sisie named Brooklynn . I went to kindergarten. I played withut Jatin. & somewune poked me. Then I went to my new spot. My class went to reses. My 20th day at Kindergarten


I went to Kindergarten and I played, but I didn’t get the train that went all by itself and so I just sat there and did nothing. But then Jatin called me over to have a race with cars, on the rug, and I got 5 whole wins, cause I had 7 hot wheels. And all of them are hot wheels. And then “look at the monkeys sittin in the tree, there are 5 little monkeys staring at me. One little monkey swinging off the tree. How many monkeys are left? There’s four!” And then everyone started putting their things away as fast as they could and then we scrambled to our tables and we did things. And then we went and we listened to a story on the rug, out of a book. And then, before it started, every SINGLE PERSON in that room hugged Mrs. Colby! (laughter from Brinsley) and then we went back and she said that we shouldn’t hug her and then we sat back down at our colored spots and we listened to the story and I don’t remember what it was about. Then we got water bottles and we drank ‘em and we put ‘em back and then we went to recess. And we played and played and played and played and played and played. Maia was my buddy because I chose her. And then the whistle blew once. And everyone on the playground stopped and then the whistle blew twice and all the kids ran to the yellow line and I held Jatin’s hand and then Espy broke in front of our little arms and then all of us fell down. And I do mean ALL of us….Jatin, me AND Espy. Then we got back up and we jumped over rocks, except me and Jatin fell down on one of them. But I was okay. And then we kept on running and running and running and running and then we got to the yellow line and Mr. Paulson leaded us in. And then we went in the hall and we went to our classroom and then we ate snack. And then we got our water bottles and we drank them and then we put them back. And then we did show and tell. Hannah brought show and tell. It was a Disney bracelet that lit up. And her aunt got it for her and she didn’t where. And we got our paw prints and water bottles. And Monday folders from Mrs. Colby. And then we went and got our coats and then we got our jackets and then we went and we lined up and then we went down the hall and Mrs. Colby leaded us. And then we went outside and Mommy picked me up. THE END.

Some other stuff:
Ian spilled his water bottle in the hall and Mrs. Colby had to clean it up! Mrs. Colby and Mrs. Boyd got locked outside when the grownups picked the kids up. That was the most funniest thing I've ever seen in my whole entire life.

I was good for the whole morning. Then we went to the coffee shop and we played a game called “Guess Who?” and then we played it 5 times and then we went to the pumpkin patch, but I didn’t act as good, but I acted kinda good. And then we came home and I cried for my pumpkin and then I got apple cider and I went on www.playmobil.com and then we went back off the computer and I made Halloween cards and I made a card for Mommy (cause mommy has a birthday). Dance
I went to the dance. I got a balloon. I saw Mr. Paulson in line behind me getting a balloon. I saw Mason and Trinity and Aldous and Jatin and Nikash and Mrs. Boyd. I left the dance because balloons were popping.

I got out of bed and I slept really good. Then I started acting bad. And then we went to the Farmer’s Market and I acted better and then we saw a peach guy and then we saw “hi” to the peach guy and then we went home.

Open House


Me & Brooklynn went to the potty last night and last we went to the (now mommy typing) open house at my school. And I got to sit on big benches and listen to Mr. Paulson talk. What did he talk about anyway? And then we went to my classroom and we sang the song – Rock n Roll ABCs and Autumn Leaves are Falling Down. And then I saw Jatin, he was coming’ in when I left. And then we went halfway to the car and I went back to the school and I did the next one and then I ran around and I played a game. And then I went back and we ate Burger King for dinner. THE END.

I showed daddy and mommy my artwork and my cubbie and my hook and my Autumn Leaves are Falling Down. ALL DONE.

80’s Day


We went to school and I played with Jatin at the trains. He poked me and he said “hi” and then I looked and Jatin was sittin there and then we played trains together and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad and that means “stop cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us” And she said that there was 5 more minutes til clean up, and when the 5 minutes were done she played the 5 little monkeys song and no one said “clean up!” They didn’t! And everyone slowly cleaned up their stuff until “look at the monkeys sitting in the tree, there are 2 little monkeys staring at me” and then everyone getting their toys and putting them back in the basket real fast and everyone scrambled to their table. And then we sat at the tables and we read “the leaves” book that we colored and then we read the “just the way you are” book and then we played our time at recess, but we didn’t go to recess and we just stayed inside and played and I drew with chalk and then “look at the monkeys sitting in the tree” came on. And everyone cleaned up their stuff. And they went to their tables and we went to the library and it took me 3 minutes to find a book and then I took it out and I looked through it and I checked it out and then I went to my classroom. And I put it in my bag and then I got a monkey stamp. And then I got my water bottle and then I walked out to the hall. And then we went to the door and mommy picked me up . THE END.

Some other stuff:

Mrs. Boyd was wearing a sparkly coat. Plus also she painted her eyes blue. That was silly. Everyone said that they liked her coat. Mrs. Colby and Mrs. Boyd were wearing legwarmers. All done.

My 18th day at Kindergarten



Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE!!!!! Mommy said “hey, do I get a hug?” and I ran but then my Calico Critter fell out of my door and then I went into my classroom and mommy said “hey, do I get a hug?” and then I said “no” and we just played, but then mommy snuck up on me and she got one! And then I went to the trains with Jatin and builded a long track and I went to the very end and I pushed the button on the back of my train and it went all by itself. And then it went to the end and Jatin had to put a stop sign at it and also he had to put construction cones and also he had to put a yellow and black sign up and then I pushed the button on the back of my train and it went all by itself and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad and that means “Stop ‘cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us!” Then she said that it was time to clean up and she played the 5 little monkeys song and everyone yelled “clean up” I don’t know why. And then we went to our tables and we listened to a book, the very first little Curious George book. We still haven’t finished it. We didn’t go to recess. We just stayed inside. And then we went to the bathrooms, cause it got tricky on me, that’s why. And then I ate gummy smileys for snack. And then I saw a gummy Veggie-tale in it. And I shoved all of them in my mouth and then I chewed and chewed and chewed and chewed and chewed. And then we went to our tables and we worked on our name books and then we worked on our autumn leaves are falling down. And then we colored invitations to an open house at the school and then we put it in our folder and we walked to the door and then we were going kinda squiggily and then we read about Mr. Monkey when we were at the door, I don’t know why. That’s kind of strange. Isn’t it? Don’t ya think? Yeah! And then we went outside and I got my invitation out and I didn’t bring my folder and then I went with Mommy and I lost my Calico Critter, but then we found it in the parking spot and it got run over by a car!!!!!!!! And then we found it and I picked it up and we went home and we had lunch and then Brook went to sleep and I ate a string cheese. THE END.

Some other stuff:

Spanish teacher came in. And I think I remember her name. Mrs. Boyd today called her a different name. I don’t remember. And then she sang the song where you wiggle your fingers in Spanish. I remember it. It is “Buenos Dias” cause that’s how you say “hi” “Buenos Dias” again cause the 2 little people say it. And I don’t know why she said “Como estas” that was funny! And then she said “como estas” again and then she said “muy bien, gracias” and then she said “muy bien, gracias” again and then she said “adios” and then she said “adios” again.

My 17th day at Kindergarten


Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE!!!!! I played and I didn’t even see Jatin, but then I saw Jatin and then I played with him and then we played and played and played and played and played. But then we played trains and then we played a game where you have to match stuff on a big board. And then we played it and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad (it’s working again). She said that there was 6 more minutes until clean up and then when the 6 minutes were over, Mrs. Boyd played the 5 little monkeys song. And everyone yelled “clean up” and then we went and cleaned up all of the toys and then when we were done we cleaned up everyone else’s toys with them. And then we sat at our tables. And we standed up and we did “I pledge allegiance to the flag….” And then we went to recess. And we played and I chose Brandon and Maya chose me. And then we played, but then I was coming and I was waiting for the person to go down the slide. And a yellow dot went past me (that’s all I saw of the person) and it bonked my gum and then I did not cry. There was a lot of blood. Then I slide down the slide. And I did it again. And then I was on the way to the slide and a 5th grader, I think, told me to tell my teacher about it and then the whistle blew once. And all of the kids stopped and the whistle blew 2 times and all the kids ran and then we got to the line and we went inside and then we ate snack and then we read about Mr. Monkey and then we read a book about Curious George, the very first one and then we lined up and we went to the door and mommy picked me up. The end.

Some other stuff:

I forgot my hair pretty today. It was in my hair, but then it fell out and Mrs. Boyd put it back in and Mrs. Boyd put it in her pocket and then I forgot about it. And then I remembered it when I got home and I said “uh-oh”

Everyone laughed when Mrs. Boyd pulled out Mr. Monkey because he had a hat on. All done.

Cheering for Mr. Monkey!


Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE!!!!! I sat and I played without Jatin and then I looked around for like 3 minutes, but I didn’t see Jatin and then I went to the trains cause maybe he would be there and he was sittin there. And he said “hi” to me and I said “hi” back. And then his train went down the track and then my train went up the track and it wrecked the train track. And we had to put a cone in it. And then we fixed it and we got the cone and we put it back and we played. Then we played and we both went the same way and then Mrs. Boyd put the 5 little monkeys song on and everyone yelled “clean up!” and everyone cleaned up their toys and everyone ran to their tables. And not one toy, one piece of a toy, got put into the time out. And then we were sitting there and then the fire drill went off. And then everyone went, everyone quickly went to the door and we went out the door and then we walked and we stopped in front a big white gate and then we called Mrs. Brown and then we went back inside and then we had Spanish teacher. And then she left. And we did dot to dot. And then we had snack. Katie brought the snack. It’s name is gummies. The kind that’s in the wrapper. And then I ate my gummies and we went to the door and we went to recess. And Jatin and Ian were my buddies. And then we played and played and played and played. Then I saw Mr. Paulson and Mr. Cowan playing basketball and I ran over there cause there were some kindergarteners over there. And Jatin and Ian ran with me. And then we played basketball with Mr. Paulson. And I got 5 goals! And then someone pulled out the whistle and it blew once. And everyone on the playground stopped. And the whistle blew 2 times. And everyone on the playground ran to the yellow line and Mr. Paulson leaded us into the room. And then we went inside to our classroom and I saw Mrs. Boyd in the office and then she came into the room and we read about Mr. Monkey and then she pulled out a popsicle stick in a crayon and guess what name it was?? It was BRINSLEY! And I did a big smile and I ran up and I got Mr. Monkey and I sat back down and then I went and I got my bag. And then I got my coat. And then I got my water bottle. And then I went to my seat and I got a paw print. And then we went to the door and mommy picked me up. The end.

My 15th day at Kindergarten

Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE! And then Mommy left and she whispered “see you at the hands” and she went and I played turtles with Audrey, but then I saw Jatin’s daddy and then I saw Jatin playin’ with legos and I jumped up in the air and I ran to Jatin and then I went and I played with him and then I played and I made a train but then Mrs. Boyd put the monkey song on and she did not twist a lollipop that went bad (because it’s broken). And then we went to the tables and we put leaves on our monkey faces because we want them to look furry. And then we went to recess and we did not go past the bathrooms and we did not go to the bathrooms. And I saw Mr. Paulson by the bathrooms. And Matthew and Jatin were my buddies. And then I played and played and played with my partners, but then the whistle blew once. And everyone on the playground STOPPED and the whistle blew 2 times and everyone on the playground got up and ran and everyone yelled “The whistle” I don’t know why. And then I held out my hand to Jatin and I yelled “here” because you HAVE TO hold your buddy’s hand when you go to the playground and back from the playground. And I went running with Jatin’s hand and then I lost my balance and then I fell down and then I got back up. And then we ran up and jumped back up and ran to the yellow line and then we went to the classroom, but no one even walked us in. And then the person I didn’t know say “hi” to me and I said “hi” back. And then I went back into the classroom and then I sat at my table and ate snack. Morgan Irick brought snack, its name is gummy smileys. Someone else brought that. And pretzels. AND grapes. And then we finished our snack and then we sat on the rug. And we read “If you give a mouse a cookie” and then we read about Mr. Monkey and then Audrey got to take him home. And then we went outside the door and mommy picked me up. THE END.

I got all the art out of my Monday folder today, cause I got all my art.

Screen Time


I got up. And I went downstairs. And I went to the computer but first I had to eat Honey Bunches of Oats. And then I went on the computer on Darby and then I printed Darby and I didn’t color Darby. I watched a little bit of Darby on the TV and then Mommy said it might be another My Friends Tigger and Pooh episode instead of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and then when we finished the episode I watched “Can you teach my alligator manners?” And then Imagination Movers and then Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but mommy didn’t think it was on and I said “it is not another My Friends Tigger and Pooh episode.” (Except they don’t know the word Tigger.) Then I watched Mickey Mouse but mommy but looked over the counter and said “Huh?” But I said, “I see him!!” And then I went on the computer and then I ate lunch and then I played noodles and I sticked the noodles together and then I asked if I could watch Bee Movie and then I ate lunch and then I asked if I could watch Bee Movie again and Mommy and Daddy both said no. And then I am typing this story on the computer with Daddy and Brooklynn is sleeping and Mommy came down and I just bit my gum. THE END

My Big Day in Corvallis


I was tired. Except I woke up. That was funny. Then I went downstairs and I ate breakfast. And then I went on the computer for like 17 minutes and then I went off the computer and I went to Corvallis and then I went to a festival in Corvallis and we looked and we saw ponchos and then we went to the crafts and I did all the crafts and then I have them on the back of my table but then we did not lea ve—we went down the street. And we got an ice cream cone and we got food for mommy and daddy and they ate it and then we went to a library but there wasn’t any kids books there were only two teenager books and the first one was called “Love That Dog”. And the second one was called “Love That Dog”. And then we went to a bookstore and I read “Tigers at . . .” I actually said “twigers,” but it was actually not twigers. “Tigers at Twilight.” And then I read it but I did not finish it and then I went back home. My 14th day at Kindergarten

Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE! Jatin was walking in and I was walking behind him and we put our coats up and he said “Hey Brinsley, I’m over here!” And then we went and we played cars and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad. That means “Stop cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us!” She said that it was time to clean up and then she played the 5 little monkeys song and everyone in the room yelled “clean up!” and then everyone cleaned up their toys. And then we sat at our tables. And I sat by Matthew and then we ate snack. I don’t know why we ate snack the first thing! We had gummy fish, like gummy fish in a wrapper. They were pink. And then we went out to recess, but first we had to go to the bathroom and I had to go and Jatin had to go. And then the girls’ line went first. And then Jatin went cause he was in the front of the line. And Maya was in the very front of the line and then we went outside and someone I didn’t know yelled “seatbelts!” And then we lined up and I was at the end of the line and I went around and I chose Jatin and then Matthew was on the end of the line next and he chose Jatin and then we went out to the playground and we then we played on the playground and then I played and played and played. And then I was running to play basketball when someone I did not know blew the whistle and everyone yelled “THE WHISTLE!” I don’t know why. And then me and Jatin ran to the yellow line and then I held out my hand and yelled “here” because your partner has to hold your hand when it’s going to the playground and back from the playground. And then we lined up on the yellow line, but someone I didn’t know had to say that someone didn’t get to go on the playground if they wouldn’t go off when the whistle blew. And then I saw Mr. Paulson walk us back into the hallway. And then we went to our rooms all by ourselves and no one even led us. And then we got and I saw Mrs. Boyd put some plates out, except she dropped one and it landed on my head. And then we sat down and I am a bumblebee. And I said “buzz.” Matthew is a bumblebee too. And Katie. And Aldous. And then Mrs. Boyd yelled “bumblebees” and then you have to go to Mrs. Boyd, and I went to Mrs. Boyd with my group. And we sang “Oh Chest-er. Have you heard about Hair-y? He just got back from the Arm-y. I hear he nose how to wear his clothes. Hip hip hurray for the arm-y.” And then we went back to our seats and she called out another bug. And then that group went up. Aronna and Hannah were in it. And then they sang “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes. Head shoulders knees and toes. Knees and toes.” Those are some of the words that are in it. And then I gave them a hand and I clapped and I said “wooo!” And then Matthew clapped his hands and he said “wooo!” And then she called out another bug and that group went up. Mason and some other kids are in it. And then we sang Rock-n-roll ABCs and then when we were done we gave them a hand and I clapped my hands and I said “wooo!” then Matthew clapped his hands and he said “wooo!” And then we went and we went to the rug and we read about Mr. Monkey and then Mason got to take him home and then we went and we got our coats and then Mommy picked up THE END.

Some other stuff:

If the toys stay out, like the kids playing with them put the toys into the box, but then don’t put the box in the correct place, then the toys go to time out for one week. We should do that at home.

I got a monkey card and a certificate because I was good and I got about 16 monkey pawprints.

Today was a ketchup. I really loved it. Except for I got tired out. All done.

My 13th day at Kindergarten

Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE! I kicked mommy out of the door. Cause I said “go!” and I played except for I yelled to mommy “See you at the hands!” And I played Chunks with Alexandra and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad and that means “STOP Cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us” I said in a voice real serious. And then she said that it was time to clean up and then she played the 5 little monkeys song, only she wasn’t playing it, she was just playing with the radio. And then she put it on and then everyone yelled “CLEAN UP TIME” and then everyone ran to their tables, except for I didn’t run first. I sat next to Trinity and then I went to my color group on the table. And I changed my mind about sitting next to Trinity. I sat by Morgan Eric. I mean, Matthew. Cause I get ‘em mixed up. And then we sat at our tables and Mrs. Boyd said she did a “boo-boo” That means she she did something wrong! I don’t know why she says that, it’s funny! And I got my show-and-tell out of my bag. And then I went back and I showed my Calico Critters to Mrs. Boyd and I took them out and I put them back in. But Mrs. Colby didn’t get to see them, but I loved them, so I sat at my table and then we read a book called The Lonely Scarecrow, he’s not actually lonely though. It’s about a scarecrow and then he has no friends, except for the wheat and then he wants a friend and, but all the animals, think he’s scary, so they don’t want to be his friend. And then the, some sort of a truck came, and it cut up the wheat and the scarecrow just sat there cause there was no wheat left and then he got covered in snow and all the animals wanted to be his friend. And then the snow melted, but then he saw all the animals and he hid his teeth back cause he wanted them to be his friend. And then they became his friend. And so that is how he’s not actually lonely. He’s not actually lonely. And then Hannah took the things down to the office. The papers. And then we standed up and we did I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And then we went outside to recess. Except for we lined up and I got to choose a buddy cause I was on the end. And then I chose Jatin. And then the next person gets to choose a buddy until all the buddies are taken up and then you get to go outside to recess. And then we played outside. And then I was sliding down with Jatin and I saw a person I didn’t know pull out the whistle and I start running my feet down the slide cause I knew that she was gonna blow the whistle, that’s why. And then she blew it. And I heard it. And me and Jatin held hands and we ran and everyone yelled “The Whistle!” I don’t know why! And then we went inside and we back outside and we put our coats on and we went on a leaf hunt. And Jatin was my buddy. And then Mrs. Boyd counted to a hundred and then me and Jatin put handfuls of leaves in her bag and then Mrs. Boyd said “zero” and she yelled “line up by Mrs. Colby” and then we lined up by Mrs. Colby and we went inside and I was in the hall and the Spanish teacher snuck up on me. And she said “hi” in Spanish and I said “hi” back in Spanish. And then she said “bye” in Spanish and I said “bye” in Spanish. And then we went and I went and I sat down on my seat and we had our snack. It’s name is goldfish and kitty gummies. And then I ate it all up and then I went and we read about Mr. Monkey, except for Jaden took Mr. Monkey home and Jaden didn’t even hold it. And so Jatin put Mr. Monkey on my head and then we said I pledge allegiance to the flag again. And then we walked with the person I didn’t know down the hall and then I saw Mr. Paulson and we said “hi” to Mr. Paulson and then Mr. Paulson sneaked outside, but I saw him! And I said “hi Mr. Paulson!” and he said I was not supposed to see him. And then I went down and I saw Mr. Paulson again. He was sneaking back inside and I said “Hi Mr. Paulson” and he said that I was NOT supposed to see him! But then I saw him again and I said “Hi” to Mr. Paulson and Mr. Paulson I was NOT supposed to see him. And then I went outside and someone called my name and it was Maya because Mrs. Boyd called my name and then Maya yelled “Brinsley” again and then I went and I saw Mr. Paulson again, he was sneaking outside and I said “hi” to Mr. Paulson and then Mr. Paulson said I was NOT supposed to see him! And then he went inside and then I went to my mommy and I walked very SLOW down the steps and then I went home with mommy. And mommy talked to Morgan Rose and Noah’s mommy and then I went back in the car and I saw that I didn’t have my leaf’s rubbing and then I looked in my backpack and it wasn’t there and I went back inside and I went in my seat and it was sitting right there! And then I went back and I said “I got it. Here it is!” and then I went back home. THE END.

Somebody, Brandon and Maya, didn’t get to go to recess today. Because they weren’t being good. Except for Maya got a paw print, I don’t know why. Brandon cried because he got a squiggily tale.

My 12th day at Kindergarten

Nerissa is not in my school anymore. She moved.

I went to school and mommy was not even in the door yet and I went to my classroom and I hanged my thing up and got my water bottle out and put it in the crate and signed in and then I got a new game called “Chunks” and we opened ‘em with scissors and there were chunks of words that you could make words with and I spelled the word DUCK and the word BIN and Alexandra/Sasha (we called her Sasha today) went to, actually we played, she spelled the word DRESS and I spelled the word BRIN (my name is Brin!) And then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad and that means “STOP!” cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us. (I say that in a voice real serious!) And she said that it was time to clean up and then she played the 5 little monkeys song, but the radio was broken so she had to put it on the cd player. Like it was broken and wouldn’t play any songs. And then she played it on the radio and it finally worked and everyone yelled “clean up time!” And we sat at our tables and the Spanish teacher came and we did dedos game. Dedos means fingers in Spanish. And then she left. And then we went out to recess. And we lined up and I was on the end of the line and I got up and I chose Jatin as my buddy on the playground. And then I went to the playground and then we ran on the grass, but then someone I didn’t know came up to us and said that that was not part of our playground and then we went back to the playground and then we played and played and played and played and played and then when we were swinging on the string and then someone I didn’t know blew the whistle for the whole class and every single person, even the first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade and fifth grade, yelled “THE WHISTLE” I don’t know why. And then we ran and I ran down the steps and I jumped over and I held Jatin’s hand and I ran and we got to sit next to each other and then we went inside and guess who I saw in the hall? Mr. Paulson! And then I saw the person I didn’t know when I was lookin’ out the window. And then I went back to my table and I ate snack. And everyone said “Thanks Brinsley!” and I said “You’re welcome” and then every single person in the room ate their string cheese first. And then they ate their crackers. But Morgan Eric did not like his string cheese. But then there was one left, one string cheese left, and Mrs. Colby ate it! That was funny! And then we got the raisins in cups and I dumped them in my mouth. Except for then I had to go potty. And so I went potty with the raisins in my mouth and then I came out and guess who I saw walking past me? I saw the person I didn’t know! And she said “hi” to me and I said “hi” back and then I got knocked over – there was someone behind me and it knocked me over. And then I looked and there was no body, except for a little cat walking down the hall. And then the cat disappeared and then I saw Espy peek into the door of the bathroom and she went in there and she took the pass and she went potty. And then I saw another person that I didn’t know. And then I went back to my table with Espy, but then I looked and then my coat wasn’t there, so I went back to the hall, but it wasn’t there either and so I went back and I looked in my cubby, but it wasn’t there, but then I looked on the floor and it was sittin’ on the floor! And then I grabbed it and then it’s time for Mr. Monkey. And then Mr. Monkey’s adventures. And then we read about Mr. Monkey. And I am typing this story on the computer without Brooklynn and with mommy in cute fuzzy pajamas. And then I have a pants with 4 pockets and I went to Chuck E Cheese today and I got a ziggy-zig-zig barrette and then I put it in and then also I got a ring and Brook got a ziggy-zig-zig barrette and a Chuck E Cheese bath colorer and then we went home and then Brooklynn is coming over with a load-full of babies in the stroller, pushing my blanket like a cradle. And then mommy picked me up at school and I went down by the big hands with the whole class and I was the last person in line and then they called me right now and then I ran to my mommy.

My 11th day at Kindergarten

Mommy dropped me off at Kindergarten and I GOT TO STAY THERE! But first we had to knock on the door and then Mrs. Colby opened it and then we went inside and then we put the stuff in the office and then we grabbed it and went to the little gym, only first we had to get a little sprinky key. And then we went to the gym and we unlocked in and we got ready for the JOG-A-THON! And then we went down the stairs and we went back down and we went back up and we went back down and we went back up. Because we had a lot of stuff. Only I didn’t go down, I just went down a couple steps. And then Mrs. Colby watched me and then mommy walked with me to Kindergarten and I went and I got my water bottle out and I put it in the crate and then I said for mommy to leave and then I played and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad. That means “STOP Cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us.” And then she said that it was time to clean up and so me and Katie cleaned up our things. And then we went to the rug and we read the book. And then the Spanish teacher came in and then she left. We played a game. And then she left. And then we went outside and we went to recess. And then someone I didn’t know gave me a high five and then I ran. Plus also I got Ian as my playground buddy. He choosed me. Ian got a paw print. And then we played and played and played. And then when I was climbing up, because a 3rd grader bonked me down, I went up the stairs with Ian and then the whistle blew for the whole class and everyone yelled “THE WHISTLE.” I don’t know why. And then we went and we lined up, except for Brandon was squishing me. Cause Brandon is a heavy guy. And then we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited, but Mrs. Boyd didn’t come. So then we went back to the playground and we played for five more minutes. But then Mrs. Boyd and Mrs. Colby came and my eyes popped, and I ran and I lined up on the yellow thing and guess who I saw walking out the door? M-ISTER PAULSON! And then we didn’t even go inside, we walked to the little gym. And then Mr. Paulson walked with us and we ran to the little gym and then we went up the stairs and we sat down and Mr. Paulson sat in the middle and then we ran around the little gym and everyone kept on giving me popsicle sticks but then when I was going around the corner once, I accidentally fell and I dropped my popsicle sticks on the ground and Mrs. Boyd picked them up for me. And I said “thank you” and I ran around and then I gave the guy who gives me popsicle sticks, my popsicle sticks and then he asked me what my name was and then I said “Brinsley” and then he put my popsicle sticks in my envelope and then I kept on running, but first I got a popsicles stick and then I ran again and then the next time I ran in a circle I got a popsicle stick and I kept on running around in a circle and getting popsicle sticks, but then the next time I went around Mr. Paulson held up five fingers at me. And he yelled “FIVE MINUTES!” And then me and all the other class when we heard that we started running as fast as we could. And then guess what I did. I got smart. And then I ran and I jumped up and I grabbed a popsicle stick and I kept on running and jumping and grabbing popsicle sticks and running and jumping and grabbing popsicle sticks and then the next time I went around Mr. Paulson held up 4 fingers and he yelled “FOUR MINUTES!” And then we ran as fast as we could. Only my shoe got undone and I had to stop running and I had to buckle it back up, but then I jumped back up and RAN and then I jumped up and got a popsicle stick really fast and then the next time I went around Mr. Paulson held up 3 fingers and yelled “THREE MINUTES!” And then when we heard that we ran as fast as we could. But then I started to get sweaty, but I DID NOT give up! And then I went and I jumped up and I grabbed a popsicle stick and then I R-A-N as fast as I could. But then I ran into the wall and I fell down, but I jumped up and I did NOT give up and I kept on running and then I looked at my popsicle sticks and three were missing and so I ran back halfway and then I went to Mr. Paulson and I said that 3 of my popsicle sticks were gone, but then Mrs. Colby tapped on me and she gave me my popsicle sticks back and then I jumped up in the air and I RAN as fast as I could and then the next time I went around, I kept on getting on popsicle sticks, but then the next time I ran around Mr. Paulson help up two fingers and yelled “TWO MINUTES” and then when we heard that we ran as fast as we could, but then I dropped my popsicle sticks again and I had to give them to the person who gives me popsicle sticks and he said “what’s your name?” and I said “Brinsley” and then he took my popsicle sticks and he put them in my envelope, but then I jumped up in the air and I grabbed a popsicle stick out of the person’s hands and I ran and ran and ran and ran. Only then I ran into Matthew, only I kept on running and then I got sweaty and then I jumped up and grabbed a popsicle stick and then the next time I ran around Mr. Paulson held up one finger and yelled “ONE MINUTE!” And then when we heard that we ran as fast as we could and we ran and ran and ran and ran and I only got 4 popsicle sticks in that time and then Mr. Paulson counted down Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. ZERO! And then everyone zoomed to the circle and then we grabbed our coats zippity quick and then we ran back to the circle and then we got the popsicle sticks and we gathered them up and we counted them up and then we ran to the guy and we all yelled our names and then I ran back to the circle after yelling “BRINSLEY” and then I went to the door, but first I had to grab an apple and a water bottle. And then I went out and we went to the school and we opened up our water bottles and we ate our apples and then we got our bags and coats and Jatin’s mom said she would bring me to my mom and she brought me but then she brought me and we went down some stairs and I almost fell over. And we went up some stairs to the little gym, but to get there we had to go over a big hill and I fell over, so I just decided to roll down it. And then I got back up cause Jatin was rolling with me, and we went to the little gym and we sat down on the floor and we ate our snacks and then we went home and we ate lunch and I am typing this story on the computer with Brook after she woke up from her nap and she is yawny. And then it’s time for some other stuff.

I ran off without mommy and I went to my classroom. Mommy was talking and I went to my classroom and I got my bag off and I hung my bag on the hook. And then I went to my classroom and I put my water bottle up. We put it in a big black crate. Only first, I had to sign in. You just get your little thing, your little monkey, and you hold it and you don’t put it in until your teacher twists a lollipop that went bad. And that means “Stop cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us.” And then I played with Katie and then Mommy gave me a hug and kiss and then she went and then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad. That means “STOP. Cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us!” And then she said that it was time to clean up and then she played the 5 little monkeys song, but it took 2 minutes for it to play and then it played and then everyone sat in their chairs. And then we ate snack. It’s name is tropical fruit juice, gummy smileys and pretzels – the kind that shaped like the leaf. And then we read a book and it’s about fall and then we made fall books – they’re just books about fall! We cut them out and then we colored them and I don’t know what happened next. And then we went to recess and then I played and played and played. Only I had a buddy named Morgan Eric. And then the whistle blew for the whole class and then everyone yelled “THE WHISTLE” I don’t know why! And then they ran and then someone I didn’t know who had blond hair that led us into the room and then when we got to the top of the staircase then we undid our seatbelts and we did high-five to the person I didn’t know. And the person I didn’t know said “good girl” to me and I don’t know why! And then we went into the classroom and everyone said “Where’s Mrs. Boyd?” I don’t know! And then we peeked outside the door and Mrs. Boyd popped her head out of the office. And then I had to go to the bathroom and so I went to the bathroom. And then I took the pass. And I went out and guess who was in there when I came out of the bathroom? MMMM-ISTER PAULSON! Mr. Paulson and the whole class did the Rock-n-Roll ABCs and we also danced to the popcorn dance. And then we did “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.” And then we read about Mr. Monkey. I don’t remember what he did. He went home with Morgan Eric over the weekend. He was my playground buddy today. Here’s how you choose buddies: you line up and then one person gets, the person on the end of the line gets to go out of the line and choose one of the people that are lined up and I was at the end of the line and I chose Morgan Eric and so that’s how I got Morgan Eric as a playground buddy. We got our Monday folders from Mrs. Colby and then we got our backpacks and we put them in and then we sat on the rug and we read our story today. And we read Rachel Elizabeth Something the Kindergarten Show-off. We walked out the door and mommy met me. Except that Mrs. Boyd didn’t actually walk out with me. Mr. Paulson did. THE END.

Tomorrow is the Jog-a-thon except I have to wear a shirt and pants. Plus also I have to wear running shoes.

My 9th day at Kindergarten

Me and Katie played Dora Chutes and Ladders. And then the spinner was broken and we couldn’t play and we had to put it up and play with some little cubes that you stick together. But then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad and that means “STOP cause Mrs. Boyd wants to us.” And she said that it was time to clean up and then she did the 5 Little Monkeys song and almost everyone in the room including me and Katie yelled “clean up time!” And we cleaned up and we went to our seats. And then we stand up and we did the Pledge of Allegiance. Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. And we sang Happy Birthday to Aronna, but first we transformed to the seats. And then we went down and we closed our eyes and we sang “Happy Birthday To you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to Aronna. Happy Birthday to You.” And then we went to the seats and Mrs. Boyd told us that the cupcakes were for Aronna’s birthday. And then we went to recess and I played and played and played and played and played. And I had Matthew next to me. Matthew was on the playground with me today. And then the whistle blew for the whole class and everyone on the playground went up on the yellow line. And then I saw Mr. Paulson stop playing basketball. And then Mr. Paulson did not line up and a person I did not know led us to our room and we ate cupcakes and then me and Colby had to switch our cupcakes cause his favorite is pink and my favorite color is blue and I had a pink one and he had the blue one. And so we traded. And then when we were done we went and drank our water bottles and then we went to the circle and we read the rest of Curious George and the donut delivery. IT was very funny. And then I had to go to the bathroom and I went to the bathroom. And then we read about Mr. Monkey. And then Morgan Eric got to take him home. And then we walked outside and Mrs. Boyd gave me a high five and said I got a paw print and then Mommy and Brooklynn picked me up and I went home. THE END.

We played ketchup. Ketchup is when your day is crammed in. Like, what I mean by that is, like when you clean up or have lots of chores to do and then you get really really tired out and that's how you play ketchup, because you have to speed up and you have to get the day settled and your day gets really crammed in and....all done!

My 7th Day at Kindergarten

Mrs. Boyd said that we should put our water bottles in the black crate. (I don’t remember.) We sat on the rug and then we read the newsletter. Here’s what it said: September 17th, I guess. 2008. Dear Boys and Girls: Today is our 7th day at school. We will be drawing a monkey face with markers. And guess what? Wait til you hear this! There’s a new teacher helper! Her name is Mrs. Gordon. And Mrs. Gordon passed out boxes of markers and wait til you hear this! I got the markers that I bought! And Hanna sits next to me, and Alexandra. Hannah is on my left, and Alexandra is on my right. (Daddy, left and right are both words that don’t mean directions. Like “I left you” and “You are right.”) And then we got monkey pictures. Except they didn’t have eyes and they didn’t have a nose and they didn’t have a mouth. And we had to draw them and Mrs. Boyd drew a monkey face and she drew HUGE eyes and put some eyeballs in them and then she drew a GIGANTIC nose except then a boy named Jatin said he would draw better eyes. And he drew teensy tiny eyes like that and he put some eyeballs in them and then a girl who cries a lot—a girl named Aronna—said she would draw a better nose. And she drew a teensy tiny nose. And then Mrs. Boyd drew a HUGE mouth and then the whole class did a teensy tiny mouths on it. Like one person did the first part of the mouth and another person did the next part of the mouth and another person did the next part of the mouth and another person did another part of the mouth and another person did another part of the mouth. And then it looked GREAT! Like Goofy the Great. I saw that movie. Not too long ago. And we colored on monkey but first we had to draw the eyes and ears and mouth and nose. (Brinsley sang this part.) Eyes and ears and mouth and nose! After I finished drawing I drew bows on my monkey then a girl named Alexandra said she wanted bows but she didn’t know how to draw bows so I drew a bow and then we went to recess but I had to go to the bathroom so I went to the bathroom and I took the monkey pass and then I went to recess and played and played and played and played. Guess who I saw? Guess who I saw? I saw Mr. PAULSON! And then Mrs. Gordon standed by us and the whistle blew one time and everyone on the playground stopped. And the whistle blew two times and everyone on the playground runned and lined up on the yellow line. Except not Mr. Paulson. And then we went inside because Mrs. Gordon went us inside. And then she counted 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26. She was counting the monkeys in that place. And then we ate snack. Audrey passed out snack. I don’t remember what snack was. It was Go-GURTS! After I ate GO-GURTS we teared pieces of paper and we glued them onto A’s and then we walked outside with Mrs. Gordon and Mommy and Brooklynn picked me up.

My 6th day at Kindergarten

Mommy droped me off at kindergarten!!!!! AND I GOT TO STAE THARE!!!!!!!

Typed my Mommy:

Me and Trinity were playing chutes and ladders with Dora. Except for I looked for Boots and I couldn’t find him anywhere. I looked under the table and everywhere else in the room, but Boots was not anywhere. Someone stole him I think! And then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad. And that means “STOP cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us!” And she said that it was 5 more minutes until clean up and that was the 5 minute warning and a boy named Mason asked a girl named Teresa if it was time to clean up and she said there was 5 more minutes til cleanup. And when me and Trinity heard that we cleaned up our stuff. Except she played the 5 little monkeys when we were still playing. And that meant we had to skiddadle and put our things away, I think. And so that’s what we did.

The monkey song goes like this: Look at all the monkeys sitting in the tree. I don’t know what comes next. It’s kinda like when they get eaten by the crocodile. Now how many’s next? There’s four! Look at the monkeys sitting in the tree. I don’t know what comes next. Look at the monkeys looking at me. How many’s left? There’s three! Look at the monkeys sitting in the tree. I don’t know what comes next. Look at all the monkeys looking at me. Now how many’s left? There’s two! Look at the monkeys sitting in a tree. I don’t know what comes next. Look at the monkeys looking at me. Now how many’s left? There’s one! Look at the monkeys sitting in the tree. I don’t know what comes next. Look at the monkeys looking at me. Now how many’s left? There’s none! None little monkeys sitting in the tree. None little monkeys staring at me. And all done! (None and all done isn’t in the song, but I wanted it to rhyme!)

And me and Trinity ran to our tables speedy quick! Trinity sits across the table from me. And we did centers. And I did my apple tree. Except then we went out to recess. And we went to the bathrooms and I had to go potty. And I went in there and then once I was done I washed my hands and there was a really really really dirty sink in that place. It has brown stuff in it. What is that brown stuff, do you think? And then I went back out and we played outside. And I played and played and played and played and played and then the whistle for the whole class blew once. And everyone on the playground STOPPED and then the whistle blew three times and all the people on the playground ran to the yellow line and lined up. And the Spanish teacher let us inside. And then Mrs. Boyd walked us to our room and then we had snack. A boy named Noah brought snack. And its name is gold whales and animal crackers. Except I did NOT like the animal crackers. And then I told Mrs. Boyd that I ate 2 sandwiches when I got home on Monday. And she said that was insane!
And then we did the calendar. We listened to a Curious George book called Curious George and the Donut Delivery! And so the man in the yellow hat asked him to count the eggs and then asked him to go get donuts. The man in the yellow hat went to the grocery store and he sent Curious George all by himself to the donut store. And he looked at the list that the man in the yellow hat wrote “1 dozen donuts” and Curious George said that was way not enough for one small monkey who was really hungry, he saw a pencil on the counter, picked it up and drew a ZERO next to the one. So it said 10 (TEN) dozen donuts! And then he drew another ZERO next to the other number zero, 100, ONE HUNDRED DOZEN DONUTS! And he gave the list to the lady and the lady cooked one hundred dozen donuts! And then Curious George ran off with the dog with ONE dozen donuts. He didn’t know what all the zeros meant. And then the lady caught up to Curious George and Curious George ran home and he thought he was safe from the donut delivery, but then they caught up to him and he hid all the donuts up the nightlamp! And then they put a bookmark in it.

Noah did his sharing time. He won a trophy for winning a race. And then Mrs. Colby put big construction cones out and we went out to our mommies. And Mrs. Boyd saw my mommy so I went with mommy. THE END.

Mr. Monkey went home with Morgan Eric. And Trinity got it the other day (yesterday). Matthew got it the day before that and he said it jumped on the bed with his sister and him.

My 5th Day at Kindergarten

Mommy droped me off at kindergarten! And I GOT TO STAE THARE!!!!!

And I was playing Chutes and Ladders with Dora and Diego and Boots. Only Boots got lost I think. I looked everywhere for it. I looked under the easel and on my table and on the floor, but Boots was not anywhere. And under the board. I think someone stole him! (laughter from Brinsley) Then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad. That is the funniest thing ever and that means “STOP! Cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us!” And she said it was time to clean up and so me and Trinity (whose name I thought was Teresa) cleaned up our stuff cause we were playing Chutes and Ladders together. And she played the 5 little monkeys song while we were still playing. And Mrs. Boyd told us that we were going to finish our monkeys, but first we sat down on the rug and we read the newsletter. It said “Dear Boys and Girls, Today is our fifth day of school. We will be finishing our centers” plus also it said “we will be doing calendar.” And so went and we did the calendar. There was a pattern and we did the same pattern and we FINALLY caught up to it. And then she explained to us about why the pattern was there and then we went to the table and we finished our centers. Except for I still didn’t get to do the apple tree and I’m gonna do it on Tuesday, I think. Then I’ll be all finished with the centers. Today I did finish the monkey puppets and I did write your name in a Monday folder, plus also I got a book order at the end of the day, in the Monday folder. And then we went to snack, except for we just sat on the rug, we didn’t go to the table. And guess what it was? Graham crackers and go-gurts! And I sat by a girl named Hailey, plus also I sat by a girl with a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, named Tamalynn. Plus also I sat by a girl named Maya and a boy named Aldous. They were talking about Star Wars. I don’t even know what that movie’s all about! And then we finished our graham crackers, we shoved them into our mouths, and then we went outside. But first we had to get our seatbelts on. But I don’t even know how such tiny kids can have mouths so big to fit a whole entire graham cracker on. So we went outside. I saw Mr. Paulson! And I played and played and played and played. But then, just like before, me and Hannah were still playing and someone I don’t know came up to me – it was the Spanish teacher, I think, except I don't actually know the Spanish teacher. And she said it was time to go back to class. So me and Hannah came down from there. We ran to join our friends and so did Morgan S. Morgan S. is the girl. Morgan Eric is the boy. So the difference is Morgan S. and Morgan E. I have a water bottle that says “Brinsley Hammond-Brouwer” on a sticker on it. I take that water bottle to my class everyday. Except how I can I do that because I have only had class 5 days and I put my water bottle in 3 days, but then a girl named Aronna lost her water bottle, so that means there are 23 water bottles, I think. But how can there be 23 water bottles because there are 25 monkeys in that place!?! So we came in from the playground, but guess who walked in with us too? Mr. Paulson! Mr. Paulson is a principal. We went to our room and then we went and we sat down, except I did not actually sit down, because I was not done with my center actually. It’s called “write your name in the Monday folder.” And I did it except I still have a ton of sheets to do, and then I have to take it home tomorrow and then the next week I have to bring it back. Except you don’t actually get to keep it. We went on the rug and we listened to a story and then we went home and everyone grabbed their backpack, but first I had to get a Monday folder. And then we walked out with principal instead of Mrs. Boyd. That was funny! And we went out and I looked around for mommy and mommy was right there! Cause I wanted to get to her fast cause I had to carry my book order in my Monday folder and my messenger bag plus also I had to carry my big new heavy silver daddy sized water bottle to the car. Except for Brooklynn just carried my water bottle and that’s all. We went to the car and I did NOT forget my water bottle.

Some other “stuff”:

Mr. Monkey went home with Nerissa. This weekend he was with Matthew and he jumped on the bed with Matthew. And his sister.

Someone said “poop” cause they called playdough poop in class and my last story, my 4th day of kindergarten, and look for the other stories of my days in kindergarten. That’s all.

They have to go in the thinking chair if they aren’t being good or they aren’t being polite. They have to stay in there for 5 minutes. Then they have to tell the teacher what they’ve been thinking about. There’s a thinking chair in every room.

My Screeching Sunday


Last night I asked daddy to go to the pool. And he said if I was good then I would get to go tomorrow. And then I was good that day. So I got to go. And I loved it and I went in the little kid hot tub and I asked daddy if I could swim in there and he said “okay.” And so he swam in the middle of the pool and I pushed off on the wall and I kicked my legs and I swam to daddy in the middle of the pool. And I kept on doing it and doing it and doing it and doing it. Cause I thought it was SO fun. And I got out of the pool and I went in the river and I bounced like Tigger in the river. But daddy pushed me when I wasn’t ready to do it and I fell over and went under water and then I got back up. And I bounced like Tigger some more, but I told daddy that next time I said “no” he should NOT push me. And he said he thought instead of I was saying “no” he thought I was saying “go!” and I told him “No, I wasn’t” and so I had to get back in the hot tub and swim to daddy a couple more times. And I earned 2 pennies cause I swam all across the pool and then I went BACK into the river and I swam all by myself through that and I bounced like Tigger and daddy did not even push me when I wasn’t ready. And he said “you ready” and I said “ready!” and I bounced like Tigger and daddy bounced with me. And we bounced 5 more times like Tigger and followed the pattern as we went. The pattern in the pool goes “big. Big. Big. Little.” And we did that pattern all those 5 times and then we went home cause I was shivering and I went under water a couple times there too. And I didn’t even cry! And then we went back home and I gave mommy a flower that I picked on the way home from the Dallas pool. THE END.

My day of fits


I was throwing fits and throwing fits and throwing fits and throwing fits. And mommy and daddy didn't like it. And I was yelling and I was screaming and I was crying if I didn't get things that I wanted, but guess what? If I be good til seven then I get a hula hoop and I get to decorate it with tape I think. It is 6:40 right now, getting closer....still a long ways to go. And I think I'm gonna screech if I get it all the way til there. And then I would go to bed and I have my ring on and I would have to put that thing up, cause I do not want it to get lost. It's my favorite ring and it has a flower on it and the flower is blue. And Brooklynn the whole time was saying "I'm good. Right mommy? Right mommy, I'm dood." (She calls it dood.) We went to Portland and went to festival but I did not get a blue and black hula hoop that I really really wanted, so I SCREAMED for it! And we went home! We went and got a bagel and then we went back to the festival. And I was doing one foot lifted up and then running and then the other foot lifted up and then running. And I kept on doing it and doing it and doing it until then I fell and scraped myself and starting crying and daddy said if I didn't want to eat my bagel he would eat it and I said it and he said that I didn't even feel like eating it.

4 things that were the best things all day:
The first thing was the clown's parrot. It did tricks and it was funny. It shook itself and it got big fluffery feathers out. And every single person watching it laughed.
And the second thing was getting a Subway lunch on the way back and eating it.
The third thing was my bunny hopping on the ground.
The fourth thing that was my favorite was getting a Mickey Mouse book at Borders.

My fourth day at Kindergarten


Mommy dropped me off and she asked me for a hug and a kiss, but I just gave her a kiss, that’s all. So I looked around for a long long time and then I played Candyland with no one else. And then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad that means “STOP CAUSE MRS. BOYD WANTS TO TALK TO US” That is a VERY important thing. She said it was time to clean up and so I cleaned up our things and guess what? I won Candyland! It took me a long time though. And I put Candyland up and we sat on the rug and she said that we were going to do something called “centers.” And she said that centers are stations of things that you do. So we started at a monkey table and here’s how you make the monkeys: we get brown strips of paper (four of them) and then you fold ‘em one way and then you fold them the other way and you then fold them another way and you fold them another way. And then you glue them onto a paper bag and then you color paper plates and you tape them on for the mouth and then you glue a face on and then you’re all done and you staple the face on with a stapler and that’s how you make them! And then you move to the playdough table and you play with the playdough and then you put the playdough up and you do an apple tree. Except I didn’t actually get to do the apple tree and you write your name in books and I didn’t actually do that either. Once we were done with that we went out to recess. And guess who I saw when I was coming back for recess? I saw Mr. Paulson, he was sittin’ by the door. And we said “hi” to Mr. Paulson. And then we played on the playground until then Mrs. Boyd blew her whistle and me and Hannah were still playing and someone had to get us down and then we went back to our classroom but guess who we saw in our classroom? Mr. Paulson! And we did the Pledge of the Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all. And Mr. Paulson sat down in a chair and we got up and we did the Popcorn dance. It goes Popcorn please pop for me Popcorn please pop for me Popcorn please pop for me POP POP POPCORN It goes 5 times and then it goes tap your head and it goes rub your belly and it goes try to do both. POP POP POPCORN. And then it does spin around. Spin again. Spin one more time. Ya getting dizzy? POP POP POPCORN. All done. Popcorn please pop for me. And then we did You’re Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands (Brinsley sings). Then we went to the library and we read some books and guess who we saw there? We saw Mr. Paulson! I read Treehouse books. It was one I didn’t know. It was a little bit scary. Something of the Sea Serpent. It was the hardback one. It was the one where they met Teddy and Kathleen. I need to get that one because that one is the last one of the 4 Merlin Missions that have Teddy and Kathleen in them. And I have all 3 of them and they are somewhere hidden upstairs in my closet. And then we went back and we talked to the Spanish teacher. I don’t even remember her name. We said Good Morning. And then we got snack. We ate 5 go-gurts per kid. Mrs. Boyd has a rule and that rule is against the go-gurts “ya get what ya get and you don’t throw a fit!” I got a pink one and 4 blue ones. I ate them all up. And then we lined up and I stand right behind Nerissa, Nerissa’s the one that hits me or kicks me or pokes my eye when I step on her heel I think. And then we went to the bathrooms. They were the huge ones and I did NOT have to go potty. And so I went on the other line, but then when the girls started getting silly, including me, we went all the way down the hall and then Mrs. Boyd said it was time to go back. So we went back to the classroom and then we read about the Monkey in his guidebook and then Espy took the monkey home and she said it had meatballs and spaghetti. He rode a skateboard, he likes to swim. When he went with Mrs. Boyd he ate Chinese food, but he did NOT like it. He wanted a banana! And I told Mrs. Boyd that I was looking forward to the weekend because daddy said that last night I could watch Mickey Mouse tomorrow morning and Mrs. Boyd said that her kids were looking forward to the weekend too because they said that they were going to go to the Gilbert House. And then it was time to go home, but one girl named Aronna lost her water bottle. And Mrs. Colby looked for it, but she COULD NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE! And so she just had to leave without it. And Mommy and Brooklynn were waiting outside for me at the door and Mrs. Colby walked me out and THE END.

My Third Day at Kindergarten


Mommy dropped me off and she asked for a hug and a kiss, but I just asked her to get out of here. I said “just get out of here mommy!” And so mommy left and I played legos with a girl named Katie. And then Mrs. Boyd twisted a lollipop that went bad and that means “STOP CAUSE MRS. BOYD WANTS TO TALK TO US” and that’s a really important thing. And she said there was 3 more minutes and that was the 3 minute warning. And then me and Katie cleaned up our things, but guess what I saw on the ground when I finished cleaning up the stuff? I saw a princess shoe! And someone was playing Polly Pockets somewhere, I don’t know where, but someone was playing Polly Pockets somewhere and so I gave it to Mrs. Colby and Mrs. Colby put it back with the Polly Pockets. And then we sat on the rug. And then another thing happened. We read a newsletter from Mrs. Boyd. And then we circled letters on it. And I’m not telling you about that because it will go on and on and on and on and on. I circled the letter T. Mrs. Boyd had to do the cheetah signal because people were being chatterboxes, that’s why! Six of them! And then a boy named Jaden hid under the table. And then the girl named Teresa, who was a new girl, and Teresa had to go to the bathroom and she didn’t even take the pass, that’s what! And so Mrs. Colby had to stand outside. And that was very very very very funny. Then she came out and we went outside and, guess who we saw there? We saw Mr. Paulson making a speech! A speech about the flag! And we said the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands and I don’t remember what goes next. And then we went back inside the classroom and Mrs. Colby gave me a piece of paper with, guess what background on it?, a strawberry background! And I colored it in my classroom and I colored my classroom, like I drew my classroom on the piece of paper and then I colored it. Only I’m not actually done with it. And then we put them in a big black box. I don’t actually know if they’re in my backpack. You were supposed to draw just the classroom and you. I drew me sittin’ in a chair, cause I was sittin’ in a chair. She said she was gonna give them to the parents at the end of the year. And that’s all. And then we went to recess, we went to the playground. I played and played and played and played and played. And then Mrs. Boyd yelled out that there were only 2 minutes left. And I said “OOOOHHHH….I’d better get to the basketball hoops cause I really really really want to play basketball!” And so I played basketball, but guess who I saw there? I saw Mr. Paulson! He was playing basketball! And also my friend named Morgan came to play with me, so we played basketball. And then Mrs. Boyd blew her whistle. And so I looked in the basketball hoop and I threw my basketball back in there, but then I saw that a jump rope was missing. And I ran to a tree and I dug a hole with my toe and looked in there for the jump rope, but I did not find it. I don’t know, but I think someone stole it! And then we went back inside and we ate snack. A boy named Jatin brought snack. He brought go-gurts and graham crackers and a new boy named Colby squirted his strawberry go-gurt on his graham cracker and I squirted my blueberry go-gurt on my graham cracker and it didn’t actually taste that good. Jatin got his show and tell out and it was a blue bear with a shirt on named Patty. And it matched Jatin’s shirt! And Patty had one leg. Plus also Patty had a orange and pink bracelet on his one foot. So I went on the rug and we talked about something that didn’t make sense and we got our water bottles. And then we went home. And Mrs. Colby walked me to the door and guess who was waiting there for me? MOMMY AND BROOKLYNN! And I hugged them. And Mrs. Colby asked if I wanted to stay with her? That was funny! I didn’t say anything. And then we got in the car and I did NOT forget my water bottle.

My second day at Kindergarten


Mommy dropped me off! And mommy gave me a hug and Mrs. Boyd told me I could do anything I wanted. This time she said I could do anything I wanted, not told me I could get something out and play with it. And so I played with some Legos and then she twisted a lollipop that went bad and it makes a “sthsthsth” sound and that means “stop cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us.” She said that there were 2 more minutes left to play and so me and Esperanza (her name is Espy) cleaned up our things that we were playing with and then we sat down on the rug with everyone else. But then Jatin started smushing me and he went under the table. And I laughed. And Jatin got out from under the table and he came back and then we had a chance to circle any letter we wanted in that room with a marker. The letters were like hidden in the room. And there were 5 Ds that people chose. I chose the letter S. I found it hanging on the bathroom door, I don’t know how it got put there. It’s a hidden letter. And then Mrs. Boyd asked the class what sounds the letters made and Esperanza got one of them wrong cause someone circled a Y and Esperanza thought it said “yuh” expect it says “yee” not “yuh.” And then a boy named Jaden circled a letter called “B” and we got that one right. And guess what? When I circled the letter S, guess what color I got? I got the color blue! So when we were done with that we went to the table and Mrs. Boyd told us that we were going to go to recess. And so we ate our honey bumble bees and we went outside and we went to recess. And I played and played and played and played and played. I was going to play soccer or jump rope except for I didn’t have any time I don’t think. And then someone I didn’t know came up to me and she said it was time to go back to my class. And so I went to the door and I went inside my classroom and then we ate another snack. We ate like 5 more bumblebees and then we went back outside and we went to recess and guess who we saw there?!? When the next time we were going back to the classroom we saw Mr. Paulson! And we said “hi” to Mr. Paulson and we went to the office and we saw Joyce and we said “good morning” to Joyce and then we went to the bathroom because I had to go potty and guess who we saw there? We saw Mr. Paulson! And then we went to the library and we went in there and we read some books. We read a Jump Start book, we read The Cow Jumped over the Moon book and then we went back to the classroom, but guess who we saw when we were going back to the classroom? We saw Mr. Paulson AGAIN! And we yelled “hi” to Mr. Paulson. And then we went back to the classroom and we sat down on the rug and we danced the popcorn dance. It goes 5 times the same line. Popcorn, please pop for me. Popcorn, please pop for me. Popcorn, please pop for me. Popcorn, please pop for me. Popcorn, please pop for me. POP POP POPCORN! And then you go “tap your head” and then you go “rub your belly” and you go “try to do both.” POP POP POPCORN. Spin around. Spin again. One more time. POP POP POPCORN. Popcorn, please pop for me. And that’s all. And then guess what we did? We read the book Five Little Monkeys Jumping On the Bed. And we made monkey puppets and here’s how we made them. Everyone gets a piece of paper with pictures of 5 little monkeys on it and then you color those pictures of 5 little monkeys. And then you cut them out and then you raise your hand and you ask for your teacher for some popsicle sticks. And you tape the popsicle sticks on the back of your monkeys and then you’re all done and you get a plastic bag and you zip them all up. And then you put them in your backpack and then you go back to school and that’s how you do them. And then all the other kids in my class went over to Mrs. Colby on the rug and Mrs. Colby gave us sheets of information on the Jog-a-thon! And then I ran to my backpack and I put the papers and envelope in my backpack and then I didn’t notice it, but it was time to go home. And Mrs. Colby walked me out to the door and guess who was waiting there? MOMMY & BROOKLYNN!!! And I ran to mommy and Brooklynn and then Mrs. Boyd came out and she gave me a sticker with a lady bug on it. And she gave a girl named Nerissa a sticker of a grasshopper and she gave a girl named Esperanza a sticker with a grasshopper too! And Mrs. Boyd said I was a cutie-pie, a sweetie I mean and she said that I listened really well and she liked me as a helper and that I was good friend to the other kids and I was nice. And then I saw my friend Hannah run past me with her mommy with the monkey backpack! I think that meant she was taking the monkey home. And so we got in the car and then when we were already driving to meet Aunt Elnu at the Farmer’s Market, I realized that I left my water bottle at the school. And so I went back to get it and it was sitting right there! And I grabbed my water bottle and I ran back to the car and then we met Aunt Elnu at the Farmer’s Market and we got lots of yummy produce to eat. THE END.

My first day at Kindergarten


We went in and then mommy gave me a hug and Mrs. Boyd told me that I could get anything out that I wanted as long as I put it back when she twisted a funny looking thing that was a lollipop that went bad and that means STOP ‘cause Mrs. Boyd wants to talk to us. And she said that it was time to put our things away in 5 minutes. And so when those 5 minutes were past, well it only took 2 minutes for us to clean up the stuff. And so we sat down on the rug and we met each other. So the first person doing it was a girl whose name started with T (Tamalynn). And so Tamalynn said that she missed her mommy and daddy. And Mrs. Boyd said that was an important to love. And then the next one was Jaden and he said that he had 5 cats. The next person was me. And I said that I had 3 cats and one was named Abby and one was named Izzy and one was named Nemo. And then the next one was Jatin and Jatin didn’t even want to come up. And so he hid under the table. And he didn’t even put his nametag on because he didn’t even want to go up there. And the next person was Alexandra. And Alexandra likes to be called Sasha and she said that and her nametag said Alexandra and that’s her real name and she just likes to be called Sasha. And the next person was Hailey. And I don’t actually remember what Hailey said. And the next person was Colby. And Colby said he had 2 cats and the next person was Julianna. She said she missed her mommy and daddy. And the next person was Hannah and Hannah said she missed her mommy and Mrs. Boyd that was important to love. And she said she just liked her mommy. And the next person was Morgan, the Morgan that was a boy. (There’s a girl Morgan and a boy Morgan.) Morgan said that he missed his daddy cause his daddy went to work. And the next person was Ian. And Ian was the one wearing the yellow shirt. And Ian said that he had 7 cats. And the next person was Esperanza, except her names is Esperanza, but they call her Espy. Espy said she missed her mom. And the next person was Matthew. And Matthew didn’t even want to come up and he put his nametag on, but he didn’t actually want to come up, he just stood up on the rug. And the next person was Brandon.

Noah was there and he said he had 5 cats. Aronna said she missed her mommy and daddy. And Morgan, the Morgan that was a girl, said that she had 10 cats, 10 kittens I mean. And there was a girl names Katie there. And Katie said that she loves her kittens. She has 5 kittens. Alaiah said that she has cats, I don’t remember how many she has. Mason is a boy. And Mason said that he missed his dad. Audrey is a girl. There’s one Megan and she looks like Julianna. Except she doesn’t have glasses. Julianna has glasses but she does not have glasses. Aldous said that, he was the one who said that his dog was really, really mean. Nerissa said she had 14 cats.

Then we went and we got in a line. And I was the caboose and then we went to the library and the lights were off. And we found Mr. Paulson there. And that was funny. And we said hello to Mr. Paulson and then we went back down and then we looped back round to see it again, to see the library again. And we saw Mr. Paulson again! I saw Joyce at the office and we said “hi”, well we actually said “good morning.” And then we went to the bathrooms and every single boy had to go to the bathroom and 5 girls didn’t have to go to the bathroom. And then, but, then, Mr. Paulson, we ran into Mr. Paulson – AGAIN! I went into the bathroom cause I had to go potty and I went potty and then I went to the sink and I turned on the water and it flinged on me and in my face and so then I had to look back and look at Mrs. Colby. And I turned the water off and turned the water back on just a tiny bit and I said that was better. Then I went to the drying stuff cause there was a blow dryer and also there was a towels and also there was paper towels. There were all sorts of things. And then I dried them with the paper towels and then I was all done, but I couldn’t find the garbage, and the garbage was way by the door and my arms were still soaking wet, but I didn’t have any time and so I went back to my classroom and we went to recess. And we got all the rules. We listened to all the rules like “only one person on the slide at a time” and “listen, share, don’t run” “no using the swings” because they’re metal and they don’t lift us up. And so we went and played for 10 minutes and then we went back inside. And we ate snack. We ate honey bumble bees. And then Mrs. Colby gave me a letter from Mommy and Daddy and I read it. And then I answered it up right in my head. And I put it in my backpack. And I got a folder and it’s called a Monday folder cause you get it every Monday and every single kid in the classroom got one and they put it in their backpacks and I was the very last person to get mine. And I got to color a 5 little monkeys book. And I’m not even finished with it, but I got to put it in my backpack cause our schoolday was over that’s why. Then I got picked up by mommy and Brooklynn said we could eat some hot chocolate when we got home. And I ate a Subway sandwich and I ate my whole entire thing and now I am typing this story on the computer with mommy and Brooklynn finally finished her Kung Fu Panda lunch. THE END
